Description
It started on Plaza Drive in New Albany, Indiana, with Sportstime Pizza in 1987 (now the NABC Pizzeria), followed by Rich O’s (NABC Public House) in 1990, the incorporation of the New Albanian Brewing Company in 1994 and the launch of the original New Albanian Brewery in 2002 (the first commercial brewery in New Albany since 1935). The Pizzeria & Public House are still going strong.
In New Albania, beer is a way of life. NABC stands for a quarter-century of experience, education, recognition and success. Not only that, but our machines kill fascists, too.
Now more than ever before, we ask: Can your beer do that?

Tap at NA. Unfiltered, which is illogical for the style. Yellow tan body, big foamy, steady white head. Creamy, yeasty, smooth lager tones. Delicate noble hops. Yeasty, smooth, light to medium bodied. Highly sessionable. Awesome.

Draft At NA. Amber brown, off white head. Sweet, delicate brown sugar and dark fruit aroma. A rather mild Dubbel that seems to have a lot in common with an English Brown ale? Delicately sweet, very sessionable. Not really true to style, but an interesting brewpub creation I suppose. Brown/Amber/Dubbel. Mild. Sweet, malt centered, not much depth or richness.

tap at Brewhaven festival - Gold pour with a very mild citrus and spicy yeast aroma. It’s mild to moderately bitter, a lightly spiced brew with a somewhat dry finish. It’s a fairly good brew, but doesn’t really rise above average.

tap at Brewhaven festival - Pours clear gold with a grainy, bready aroma that has a hint of citrus. It’s medium bodied and moderately bitter with some spicy Belgian yeast presence. Good, but with the help of De Struise I expected more.

Draft. Light toffee malt and alcohol aroma. Golden yellow with large head. Sweet toffee malt and strong alcohol flavor. Moderately bitter grassy hops finish. Listed as an India Malt Liquor (? new style) - boozy but don’t detect any fusels. Unique to say the least.

Draft. Amber body with a fizzy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, with a hint of citrus, especially grapefruit. The flavor is light to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Thin to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of bitter grapefruit and orange peel with light raw grain and biscuit in the background. A bit watery so that the hop flavors and bitterness lack much backbone. Still, what does one expect at 3.8%? Plenty of good flavors here for a session beer. Extra points for that.
