Description
It started on Plaza Drive in New Albany, Indiana, with Sportstime Pizza in 1987 (now the NABC Pizzeria), followed by Rich O’s (NABC Public House) in 1990, the incorporation of the New Albanian Brewing Company in 1994 and the launch of the original New Albanian Brewery in 2002 (the first commercial brewery in New Albany since 1935). The Pizzeria & Public House are still going strong.

In New Albania, beer is a way of life. NABC stands for a quarter-century of experience, education, recognition and success. Not only that, but our machines kill fascists, too.

Now more than ever before, we ask: Can your beer do that?

Sample at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. This brew is a slightly hazed amber-copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, earth and spice. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, pine and bready malt. The finish is somewhat spicy with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent all around.

Sample at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. Pours a clear amber-brown color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes rapidly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Notes of hops and caramel malt in the nose. Light body with flavors of sweet malt and caramel, hops and a touch of fruit. The finish is malty with a caramel and mild hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Courtesy of nbutler11. The bomber, with a nice looking puppy on the label pours copper with off white head. The aroma offers up pine hops, some spicy notes and a sense of sticky sweet maltiness. The taste is similar with a good load of pine hop bitterness as well as sort of a pine hop sticky sweet malt influenced flavor notes too. Tasty stuff.

Courtesy of nbutler11. The bomber pours hazy copper with huge towering infected looking foamy off white head. The aroma has some rye notes, some malt sweetness, a bit of tartness and a modest level of floral hoppiness. The taste is similar with meaty floral hops mixed with a mild amount of spicy rye, floral hop bitterness and a bit of sweet malts.

Received in trade from phisigben, thanks for the opportunity. The cap comes off with a very loud pfffttt noise and three seconds later I’m sucking suds in an attempt to keep beer off of those papers over there on my desk. Pours into the glass a hazy dark brown with more than 1/2 a glass of light tan soap bubbles. Smells of roast and chocolate with lots of caramel, light aromas of pitted dark fruit, and a hint of wet dog. Taste is roasty chocolate and caramel with a little bit of dark fruit and some cardboard like flavors in there as well. Medium body with an overabundance of carbonation and a bubbly oily chalky mouthfeel. This doesn’t taste half bad, but the over carbonation ruined the mouthfeel and the touch of oxidation doesn’t help either. I did open this straight out of the refrigerator too.

Bottle, light gusher. Pours with a large foamy white head over a hazed golden body. Aromas are of tangerine, grassy, farmhouse, funk, light pilsner graininess, grapes and citrus. Flavors are bitter, grainy, tangerine, soft citrus, medium bitterness, bready. Medium esters, lively bubbles, pretty dry, creamy mouthfeel. Good.
