Bottle from Ministerstwo Browaru (the shop, not the bar) in Poznan. - Nice golden brown colour. - Aroma is pungent and tart, with notes of vinegar. Taste is very tart, with lactic notes and cheap vinegar, followed by more aggressive, pungent and vulgar tartness, like vinegar essence or even worse. Not unlike a Flemish Red Ale, except for the vulgar tart finish. This was definitely not "brewed on the pattern of a Trappist beer", as the label indicates, or if it really was, something has gone awfully wrong with this beer (lactic infection?). In one word: disgusting.

Bottle (from Ministerstwo Browaru, Poznan). Started very sour (unripe fruit). In the finish, the sourness was accompanied by aggressive tartness which occupied my taste buds for several minutes. Had nothing in common with a Düsseldorf Altbier though the label vaguely refered to Düsseldorf. Something must have gone completely wrong with this beer or at least with my bottle... As the other ratings are rather positive, I guess it was my bottle only. Still, I’d rather not try another one in the near future.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with thick off-white head. Sweetish, bready, malty and fruity aroma. Sweet taste of malt and caramel. That’s my first altbier, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it is not quite representative of the type due to the considerable sweetness. Not bad, though.

Thanks to my coworkers in Lodz for sending this to me. Tall-Boy enjoyed at fridge temp in a Duvel Tulip.
A - Looks like urine, decent clarity with half a finger fluffy head.
S - Sort of a candy corn, fruit loops and grassy nose.
T - Suprisingly tasty. It is very very sweet. Sort of a corn bread taste with caramel, wedding cake and french fries after taste. Lots of biscuit in this one.
M - Very light body but a decent sweetness at the finish
O - I’m surprised how drinkable this is. It’s a pilsener so there’s not a log going on but it’s not bad.

Bottle, 6.5%. Creamy aroma. Seemingly clear dark brown colour. Small frothy off-white head. The flavour is roasted and creamy. Sweetish, but more roasted, with a little barley bitterness.

Bottle, 6.4%. Sweet aroma, brown sugar. Cloudy brown colour, a little reddish. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is sweet with a spicy sugar note. Has some sort of a bite to begin with, but I do not get any ginger flavour as such. Good alcohol level, could even do with a touch more.

Slight notes of chocolate and pear in the nose. Thin, translucent brown with little head, Mild metallic taste. Thin palate. A mild, more-or-less likeable porter, but a bit too watery
