Description
Crux is a crossroads, an intersection, the heart of something. In brewing it's that pivotal point where fermentation happens and anticipation mounts.
We’re Crux Fermentation Project— housed in a former AAMCO Transmission Plant and inspired by our location right in the heart of Bend, Oregon. Our brewery is a one-of-a-kind, built for non-traditional brewing methods like decoction mashing, open fermentation and barrel aging, and for leveraging the limitless possibilities that wild yeast strains and experimental hops present.

27/12/2020. Bottle shared virtually at the post-Christmas Tears For Tier 4 bottle share. From Idiosynkrasie, cheers Boris. 2016. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, ash, wood, roasted malt, fruity notes. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Full bodied, very soft carbonation. Lovely.

Schönes IPA, das auch geschmacklich mal etwas aus der Reihe tanzt. Hat hinten irgendwie noch so einen kleinen Zwirbler. Sehr lecker.

TASTE: initial medium hop flavor with pine, ripe fruit. neutral malt background, medium, with slight sweetness. medium-high bitterness with a dry finish. 500ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a large, creamy, long lasting, light brown head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel and light coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate, caramel, earth and ash in a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very enjoyable.

16oz can from Craft Brewers. Hazy straw color, patchy head. Fruity aroma, hints of tropical and stone fruit. Fruity flavors kicked up a notch in the taste, rich, full, sweet. Add a touch of orange. Nice.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is peach and pineapple with honey malt. Flavor is pretty much the same. Lots of pineapple and peach with a little bitterness. Nice hazy IPA with some flavorful hops.
