Catch up from last night’s RIS Bottle share. One of the highlights of the evening for me. All around high marks, with the overall feel and flavor the best features. Silky smooth, rich roast grain flavors, mild sweetness, and a pleasant burn.

Bottle bought at Whole Foods in Portland in March 2016. A bit hazy light orange with a white head. Fresh and hoppy with pineapple, mango and some citrus. Refreshing and nicely drinkable with a medium bitter finish. Excellent hop juice.

Bottle dark brown black . Sticky sweet flavors of chocolate and tootsie roll. Smooth and nice abv burn

Bottle - pours lightly hazy purple - nose of caramelized sugars, plums, raisin, phenols if clove, pepper, smoke- creamy texture, low carbonation - sweet, but not cloyingly so, with well-masked alcohol, and a light tartness and finishing earthy a spicy phenolic profile that balances the sweetness well - well-executed for an American rendition.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving soapy spiders. Lemon joy and mild scallion aromas. Thick with mango and papaya tort upfront turning to sweet resin, and unfortunate lemon cleanser that dominates the lasting finish as it warms

42nd Floor Tasting. Thanks to our host. Almost clear yellow - gold beer, residual white head. Palate is smooth, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, a little creamy sweetness. Hops bring touches of pine and hop spice, citric peel and a trace of lemon. A weird bitter note emerges before the lemony citric finish. Decent despite the brief skewed bitterness.

Bottle shared at level 42 Canary wharf tasting. 5/4/2016. Clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is wet grassy hop, citrus, pale grains, hint of pineapple, silage. Flavour is composed of light grains with a hint of caramel, tangy canned pineapple and citrus hop, straw. Assertive smooth bitterness. Palate is medium rounded bitterness, moderate carbonation. Solid.

Shared boomer, snifters. This beer has all the qualities of a premier imperial stout: rich mild chocolate, boozy, coffee. The molasses really sets makes it stand out, though. Really good!

Bottle big thanks to Fergus. It pours clear golden with medium, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, fragrant, juicy, apricot, lychee, tangerine, passion fruit and stare. The taste is crisp, bitter, sticky fruits, straw, grassy, citrus peel, tangerine, passion fruit, grapefruit, light alcohol warmth and white pepper with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff all round.

Bottle at the level 42 tasting V1.5 05/04/16, thanks to Fergus. Golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is lemon peel, pissy whisper, tangerine, melon, toasted bread, earthy hop. Taste comprises caramel, light candy fruit, bitter orange peel, trace of pine, bitter citric rinds, touch of bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent IPA.
