Auch wenn mir die Brauerei recht sympatisch ist, so ist dieses Bier trotzdem nicht gut. Es ist recht bitter, wobei es sich aber um keine Hopfenbittere handelt, sondern einen Geschmack nach Tonic. Auch eine süße Malzigkeit geht unter. Einfach: Pfui

0.5 l bottle from 'Pivotéka More Piva', best before December 2018. Clear, deep reddish amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and hints of raisins. Quite sweet, minimally bitter, malty and a little fruity taste of caramel, toasted nuts, a touch of grains and traces of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally grassy finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid, absolutely nothing wrong with it, just quite boring.

On tap@ Medina Škrinja Varaždin. Clear golden pour with two finger frothy off-white head. Very good head retention, leaving nice lacing. Grassy nose, hay, some stale hops. Thin to medium body, low carbonation. Soft texture, pleasant and smooth mouthfeel. Mostly bitter taste. Somewhat surprising amount of bitterness, but it works very well and it’s nicely balanced and refreshing. Aroma of grains and hops, earthy, grassy. Strong herbal character. Bitter finish, slightly drying with really nice hop presence. Overall, pretty good. Nicely balanced, refreshing and tasty.
