Can from Tavour. Pours clear dark brown with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma of very nice coffee. Med plus body. Nice foamy carbonation. Flavor is bitter coffee and burnt malt. Chocolate notes. Astringent. Dry. Really good flavor.

16 oz can poured, gifted by Erika. Thanks! Glowing golden orange pour with a moderate haze and rocky foam head. A nice mellow balance of grains and orange like hops on the aroma. A bit of a hybrid IPA, mix between the two coasts, and a bit of the middle as well. A nuicy side to.it, but bold grain comes through in the flavor. Dusty malts, juicy, yet bitter hop finish. Fun, tasty IPA here.

Can pour. Appearance is lightly hazy, very dark brown (mahogany with light source directly behind), trace sparkle, finger-width beige foamy head with decent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is mildly bitter rich roasted malts and coffee offset by milder sweet chocolate. Taste is moderately bitter roasted coffee and earthy malts, milder baker's chocolate and nuts. Maybe a brief initial burst of blackberry/dark fruit is there but it seems mostly due to the power of suggestion and me having to search for it. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with velvety smooth texture (as described), soft carbonation and more roasted earthy malt than coffee finish. Overall, strong across the board.

750ml bottle - turbid dark amber - I am not generally a fan of soured versions of this style, but this one - fermented with a mixed culture in oak wine barrels for 2.5 years and blended with sour ale - brings the funk and complexity to make up for it - super funky, with a lot of dry oaky tannins, peach, pear - moderately acidic and super dry, while also maintaining the bready malt richness underneath all of the acid and funk - it’s dang good.

Can - pours a mostly clear gold with a soapy lace - light and easier drinking than many of it’s kind, also a bit on the drier side for such a string dipa - dank, peppery, herbal - finishes with some light tropical fruit and a mild sweetness - lingering peppery hops.

16 oz. can. Aroma shows slight raisin, mild chocolate, with a hint of earthy grain. Coffee is here in a different way. I can tell that they didn’t just throw in some cold brew as an afterthought. The bean was integrated into the boil kettle. Coffee is here in very soft, thoughtful manner. Mild fruit and nut character. Soft roast. Really solid.

Bottle shared. Thanks Sam! Pours an orange ruby with a small head. Lots of cognac aromas with big raspberry and vanilla notes. Smooth on the palate, raspberry skin, seed and fruit with creamy vanilla bean. Tartness is restrained. Warming honey on the finish. What an insane combination. One of the highlights of the share.

Bottle shared. Thanks Sam! Big raspberry focused nose with skin and fruit with a nice undercurrent of wine oak as it warms. Not ovelry tart or acidic. Bright and loud raspberry with some tannic and vinous red wine notes on the palate. Lingering wood and oak. Really nice.
