Taster at the brewery. Pours a dark, orangish, brown color, with a small, fizzy, tan head. Nice peat smoke aroma, with some caramel, toast, and grains. Sweet and malty, with a light bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with an excellent, heavy, and sharp mouthfeel. This is a lovely scotch ale. Great malty flavor, and the harsh palate just works.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black, with a big, pillowy, light brown head. The nose is heavy roast, leather, molasses, pine, vanilla, and rye. Sweet, with a sharp, burnt bitterness. Heavy body, with a thick, boozy, and lightly astringent mouthfeel. Pretty solid stout.

32 oz crowler courtesy of alagnak. The pour is a mostly clear golden yellow with a foamy 1 inch white head. The aroma is a resin dank floral, very much fresh juicy hops. The taste is the floral resin, soft bitter citrus along with with some cracker caramel malt towards the finish. As with the nose, taste is fresh and juicy. The palate is medium bodied, with the resin dry softly bitter finish. Nice one, thanks for the kind gift Chris.
