Bottle. An almost clear mead, golden in color and still. Lightly oily pour. The aroma is a quite pleasant blend of honey and fruityness, with blue plums doing most of the fruit work. Ginger, lime and rhubarb are barely detectable, not even sure I caught the lime and rhubarb, just some sourish fruityness. It's full-bodied, sweet and warming, with the honey more to the front in the flavor than it was in the aroma. Some cellar notes too, and there's also a more pronounced fruityness. Long finish. Overall, a nice blend of honey and fruityness, but a tad gently on the nose I think. 201231

Can. An unclear deep red beer with a minimal sized pink head. The aroma is quite bready and sort of buttery, with lots of cherry. Guess the berries are responsible for that buttery scent. It's medium to full-bodied, quite smooth on the palate, with cherry flavors dominating. Bread, yoghurt, hints of butterscotch and some lemon too. Rather yoghurty finish. Delicious berry aroma and flavor, else I'm not impressed at all. 201231
