Tap at Vine Street - holy hell, you have got to love coffee in order to drink this - in fact, even if you love it it might be tough - I love coffee, but this was a bit much, even for me - tastes like straight up coffee and not much else - like chewing on coffee beans - high quality beans, mind you, but still - a fairly high acidity, bright fruity notes - overall a ton of character from the beans - acidity and roast/bitterness gets a tad abrasive, and some bitterness from the dark malt intensifies things - the coffee flavor is nice, but this is over the top and difficult to finish a whole pint of.

Tap @ Vine Street. Transparent light yellow orange appearance with a foamy, off-white head. Huge ganja, resiny, piney aroma. Was this made with the medical shit??? Somewhat grapefruit citrusy but mostly an intense, resiny ganja hoppy flavor. Great one!

Tap @ Vine Street. Transparent red orange appearance with a tan head. Peppery, ginger, a touch citrusy, toasty malty, floral aroma. Quite spicy, soapy/floral, ginger, light citrusy, tangy, strangely bitter flavor. Not for me.

Tap at Vine Street - nose is loaded with anise and bittersweet chocolate notes - slick texture, full body - flavor is moderately sweet up front, with charred maltiness and strong notes of licorice - middle through the finish dries out as an intense hop bitterness sets in that works well with the malt profile to create a woody sort of character - intense and delicious, but I am glad my wife helped me with a pint, because I can see how it can be a bit much after a while.

Tap at Vine St. - a fairly dry and strongly spicy Belgian ale - particularly dry for the strength, with some strong flinty character and potent peppery phenols - a bit of tangy wheat and light estery character - moderate hop bitterness - like some of their other Belgians, the spicy phenols come on a bit strong and become abrasive after a while - enjoyable up to that point, but becomes hard to drink after half a glass.
