Look: hazy yellow with a large white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: mango and peach, honey melon, dill, dank, gooseberries, black currants. A hint of coconut as well. Distant earth. Taste: light to medium sweetness, lots of fruits & berries mentioned above, dill, coconut, light earth. Light to medium ending bitterness. Warming alcohol. Mouth feel: medium body, soft to average carbonation. Overall: amazingly complex, juicy, multi-layered, balanced, delicious, excellent.

Appearance: opaque petroleum black with a two finger tall brown head of mediocre retention. Aroma: dark chocolate, cookies, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom. Taste: moderately sweet, chocolate cake upfront, roast a coffee, warming brandy, vanilla, well-mixed-in cinnamon and cardamom. Some hop. Light ending hop bitterness. Dark chocolate and hop in aftertaste. Palate: full body, average carbonation. Overall: fairly good, rich, not overly sweet. These spices are not everyone's thing, but the brewing is strong.

Appearance: foggy gold with a large off-white head of perfect retention. Aroma: massive spicy hop, lemon, grapefruit, subdued tangerine, resin, malt. Somewhat vinous. Taste: clean, hoppy and bitter. Grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, spicy hop, resin, background malt. Medium to heavy ending bitterness. Palate: medium body, average to lively carbonation. Overall: pretty different, interesting, well-drinkable. Old-school. Good.
