Herber, stark malziger Antrunk. Im Malz werden rauchige und trockenste Noten vereint, dazu eine unpassende Bitterkeit. Das Bier ist so in einigen Teilen nicht ganz harmonisch. Herb-säuerlicher, in Teilen fehlerhaft wirkender Abgang. Trinkbar. 11/8/9/8/11/8

Scopeys East Croydon tasting - Cheers Paul! Black opaque stout, pale tan head. Cardboard! Dark malts with a trace of fruit. Dry finish and a bitterish aftertaste. Not for me!

Bottle at my Croydon Beer tasting. It pours jet black, with a thin foamy beige head and low carbonation. The nose is cardboard, sweet lactose, caramel and toast. The taste is chocolate, cardboard, burnt toast, lactose sweetness and roasted malt, with a sweet-sour finish. The alcohol is well hidden, but the beer is somehow still thin. Not for me.

Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting. Pours dark brown with a rich, tan head. Mild roast aroma, some lacto sugars. Fairly sweet flavor, mild roast, some milk chocolate, slight fruits, faint dry roast. Medium bodied with average carbonation. More lacto sugars in the finish, some moderate roastiness. A pretty decent beer.

Bottle courtesy of shrubber85 through Bierkrug, thank you gentlemen! Clear dark brown, thin tan head with solid lacing. Aroma of dishwashing liquid mixed with Hershey’s syrup. Taste is cocoa powder and vomit mixed with Hershey’s syrup. I’m glad I waited this long in my life to try this bad puppy, but I wish I had waited even longer.

Bottle from the shop opposite mikkeller bar, thanks a lot faroeviking for pointing it out. pours clear very dark brown, with a beautiful smooth grey-brown huge head. aroma of coffee, roasted stuff, chocolate and some unidentified sweetish herbs. the total impression is brown sugary and roasted. flavor is sweet malty, faint herbal sourish, herbal peppery spicy, herbal bitter, boy this tastes strange, imagine a stout with hops replaced by some other herb. Or perhaps it’s just a strange hops. wikipedia "Some species of sorghum can contain levels of hydrogen cyanide, hordenine and nitrates lethal to grazing animals in the early stages of the plant’s growth. Stressed plants, even at later stages of growth, can also contain toxic levels of cyanide.[citation needed]" if this is my last rate, You know why ;-). The entire brew is pretty interesting but not that well tasting, i probably can’t get myself adjusted to the spices, even though the sweet bitterness is not that dissimmilar from hops.

Bottle from Carringtons, Chorlton. Very dark brown pour with a small to medium sized lingering tan head. Nose was quite strong and malt heavy but with some strange and not entirely appealing notes of plastic, car tyre and tar that make you want to remove your nose from the glass pronto. Flavour started out pretty sweet and had some notes of dark fruit, roasted malt and chocolate, but there is a strange something lurking here that I can’t put my finger on, and is just not quite right. Some bitterness hits towards the finish . A little nasty on the whole......Won’t be rushing to try again.
