Description
Geist was established by Narayan Manepally and Paul Chowdhary in 2006. Since setting up a microbrewery was almost impossible at that time the option was to take the recipes abroad, get them made there, and import to India. They chose du Bocq in Belgium as the licenses were easier to come by and the people understood their beer. In 2013 the law changed and it became possible to start an inhouse microbrewery at the The Biere Club in Bengaluru. A couple of years later they opened their own brewery in Bengaluru.

Very pale light yellow beer, small head. Aroma dought malt, light yeast. Taste is the same, bitter, sweet, malt, yeast, dough, very easy to drink. Not bad

On tap at windmills at the airport. ight hazy yellow, small head. Aroma is yeast, wheat, coriander, orange. Taste is the same, sweet, coriander, yeasty, rather bland.

Gift can, thanks Vishnu! Smell of sweet malt, banana. Amber colour, white head. Aroma of sweet malt, banana, also saison yeast and faint pepper. Light body. Sweet. Lively carbon. Nice combo of dubbel-weizenbier-saison traits.

Smell of citra. Cloudy orange colour, white head. Aroma of citra, spruce, malt, grain. Light body. Medium carbon.

Transfer from Untapped, draft at the source May 2019. Clearish amber color, medium off white head with decent retention. Smoked bacon aroma. Taste is lightly singed straw, no meaty flavors, subtle and understated.

Draft at the source. Extremely dark brown color, light beige head with good retention. Aroma has more earthy cocoa than coffee. Taste is earthy with a mixture of dark unsweetened cocoa and espresso beans. Tasty

Transfer from Untappd. Draft at the source, May 2019. Clearish golden color, medium white head. Lemony aroma. Taste is bittersweet mixed citrus, orange peel and lemon peel. Tasty stuff.
