In het Rotterdam Makers District verrijst aan de Merwehaven een combinatie van craftbierbrouwerij met eigen horeca die zijn weerga niet kent: de Stadshaven Brouwerij. In een 100 jaar oude, volledig gerestaureerde fruitloods van ruim 5000 m2 wordt straks maar liefst 20.000 hectoliter craftbier gebrouwen (2 miljoen liter bier per jaar) en afgevuld in fles, blik of fust. En dit in een havengebied met enorm potentieel, dat volop wordt herontwikkeld en waar de komst van Stadshaven Brouwerij een belangrijke bijdrage zal leveren aan de leefbaarheid en sociale dynamiek.

In de basis een prima blond,. De toevoeging van fruit, waarschijnlijk de bloedsinaasappel, zorgt voor een nare nasmaak.

Bottle at home, yellow beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, fruit, malt. Taste is the same, herbal, citrus, grapefruit, bitter, not bad.

Bottle at home, golden beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, mango, tropical fruit. Taste is the same, bitter, malty, dough, sweet, citrus. Very nice

Bottle 33cl. from a local AH supermarket @home poured into a chalice. Slightly unclear pale golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma pale malts, orange, mango, apricot, yeast. Retronasal fruitiness, taste above medium sweet and light bitter, malty, orange, mango, biscuit, yeast, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, alcohol kicks in late and quite prominent, so does the pepper, an atypical juicy tripel, nice enough.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, fruity mango. Taste: Malty, yeasty notes, sourish mango. Medium body, just below average carbonation. A little hopbitterness at the finish. Ok, but nothing more than that.

Bottle at home. Clear pale yellow golden color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a bit sweetish perhaps but otherwise quite nicely balanced. Sweetish and floral a bit. Maybe even some sweetish fruity hints. Okay.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Dutch brewery #504. Clear light golden with a thin white head. Fruity yeasty aroma with some banana. Sweet taste with a low bitter sweet finish. Thin bodied but otherwise decent, if a tad boring.
