Waxed half liter bottle from the brewery, 10/5/22. Dark brown, medium brown head, average retention. Aroma of raisin, toffee, whiskey, oak, plum. Taste is oak, butter, plum, raisin, toffee, vanilla. A bit thinner than expected. Moderate booze. Probably could use some aging.

Firkin at the 2022 McFleshman’s Lager Fest, 10/1/22. Clear copper, medium tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, toast, vanilla, whiskey. Taste is vanilla, oak, toffee, cherry, raisin. Very, very nice. Head brewer could not recall what brand of whiskey barrel this is. But whatever it was, a week in the barrel imparted a ton of flavor. Very nicely done.
