Bottle. Pale yellow pour. Short, white diminishing head. Sweet aroma with notes of grass and straw. Malty flavor. No hint of hops. Thin body. Clean mouthfeel. Not a lot of flavor or aroma. Not offensive, either.

Can. Clear, pale yellow-golden with a small, white head. Weak aroma with grain and bread-notes. Malty and grainy flavor - bad! Watery body. A really bad one. (060929)

Canned. Crappy foul corn aroma. Sweet and heavy on off flavours. I detect metal, vegetables, fat and blood. Oh, so Heineken owns the brewery? That might explain it... The best use for this beer is to water the desert.

Bottled. Pale golden with a small white head. Some sweet maltiness and fruitiness in the aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, some fruits and warming alcohol. More warming than you might expect from an egyptian beer. Too thin, with some hoppiness in the finish. Much better than expected, but not a winner. (051231)

(Bottle 50 cl) Nice flowery nose, but the hops seem to have evaporated without leaving just the slightest touch of bitterness... Nice golden, almost absent head. Incredibly sweet - even for a 3rd world lager. Now we know why King Tut-Ankh-Amun died: in shame....

Bottle. Hay/barnyard aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Light malt flavor - on the watery side. Not horrible - probably better sitting along the Nile after a hot day of sightseeing.
