We chose Big Sky because it was the only ski resort in North America without a microbrewery. Steve's family "The Nordahl's" have been in Montana for well over 100 years. Because Steve's family is so nice and well-rounded, we decided we would raise our kids in Montana.
We started as a small mom and pop shop with 6 brews, 8 appetizers, kitchen behind the main bar, service ended at 8pm because of microbrewery laws. Now we have 14 brews on tap, full service bar and restaurant, expanded kitchen, expanded banquet area, on-premise and off-premise events, Music in the Mountains, Lobster Feasts, King Crab Feasts, Music, Comedy, Award Winning Brews and Award Winning Food.

Bottle: Hazy amber color with a large, fluffy beige head. Bready malt aroma and light florals. Taste is more bready, earthy, and somewhat dry florals. Sort of a floral spicey almost rye note. Interestingly dry and herbal.

Bottle: Dull amber pour with a small beige head. Nose is more malty than expected, along with a (light) sweet citrus hopping. Taste is again, maltier than expected. Bready and then some dirty florals. Sort of dull...

Bottle: Gusher, no make that a major gusher. Enormous fluffy white head atop a cloudy golden bottle. Somewhat grassey and floral, but also a tad soapy. Mildy sweet and no real bitters to speak of. Didn’t find this to be enjoyable at all.
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
Bottle: Dark brown pour with a massive brown head. Nearly a gusher. Roast is balanced well with the light cocoa and bittersweet flavors. Aroma is soft with roast and chocolate. Smooth and creamy mouthful.

Brought back from Toby’s great Montana Growler round up. Pours out a copper/amber topped with a tan head. Aroma was of hops and sour malts and a little toast. Taste was a nice sweet chocolate and more of the roast malt. Along with a hop.

Brought back from Toby’s great Montana Growler round up. Pours out a pale straw topped with a small head. Aroma was of citrus orange and lemon along with a little spice. Taste was much of the same the classic Witbier. citrus and a little spice. All we needed is a slice of orange. J/K ditmier
