A family run village brewery nestled in the foothills of Northern California, British Bulldog was conceived from a passion to make British style brews in the traditional way using techniques from the 1700's. Through the personalities of our brews we celebrate both the British and American war heros and events that have afforded us our freedom.
Hailing from the beautiful county of Kent, England, known as the Garden of England for its abundant hop fields, our family invite you to join us celebrating the people and icons in our history with a little touch of British quirkyness thrown in.

Cask handpull at the source. Handpull. Clearish golden color dense tan head solid lacing. Aroma of light black pepper in caramel crackers. Taste is bittersweet toasted caramel and more black pepper. Genuine article

Cask, handpull. Clearish amber color thick tan head with aslid lacing. Creme brulee aroma. Taste is sweet toffee and toasted caramel light edge of bitterness. Tasty

Draft at the source. Nearly opaque bery dark brown color light tan edge head. Aroma of earthy coffee grounds. Taste is equally earthy unsweetened cacao powder and more coffee grounds, dry finish. Tasty

Taster at Miners Alley. Medium golden, small head subsides. Very light bodied IPA, like the original British version. Interesting sweet and fruity notes, but still a solid malt base.

Pint at Miners Alley. Glowing copper color (evening light?). Sweet, malty aroma and taste. Toffee, brown bread, light gingery elements. A bit on the sweet side, but pretty good.

Tap at CBF 2018. Wee Heavy. Pours hazy amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is toffee that seems a bit creamy. Med body or better. Flavor is toffee with a slight tart aspect despite brown sugar. Not too dry. Not too bitter.
