Growler thanks to Toby. Pours out orange topped with a white head. Nose is black licorice orange notes and some sweetness. Taste is more of the orange notes some light bitter hops.

On tap at the Brewery. Whiskey barrel puts this porter into another class, barrel aging adding tons of character to the already decent porter. Whiskey notes accent the bittersweet nature of the brew, but not too strong that its still an easy drinker.

On tap at the brewery. Solid porter, dark brown with thin wispy beige head. Nice sweet, roasts malts. Slick body, slippery, bittersweet finish. One of the better offerings fromt his brewery, could only get better with barrel aging.

On tap at the brewery. Something wrong in the blend here, tastes not quite meshing as evidenced in Payette’s IPA with the same fruit. Citrus and hops seem to be at odds with each other, creating a funky, sour taste. Less than impressed.

On tap at brewery. Another one that failed on all marks. I didn’t detect any of the normal marzen characteristics, body very dark, malts hidden in the background, and another bland outing from this brewery. Disappointing

On tap at the brewery. This was the worst of the flight, ultra bland, watery. Not much taste or aroma, no body to speak of. Slice of orange added nothing to it either. Looking at the ratings, not sure if this batch was bad, but it was truly bad.
