Description
3PS is a small nano brewery, set in the South Derbyshire village of Woodville Swadlincote.

It was established by a budding enthusiastic home brewer, who has a passion for traditional cask ales. Woodville was once renowned for its, "Pits Pots & Pipes" hence the name 3Ps was born.

Incorporating the freshest natural ingredients possible, and never far from an experiment or two, our aim is to create something just that little bit different, yet still retaining that cask ale tradition. All our ales come in small packages, called pins, it gives us flexibility to create different ales, and a better choice to our suppliers not having 9 gallons of one type of ale.

1/3 pint, gravicask, shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. Close-to-clear amber body, bubbly white head, poor lacing. Bread-like malts on the nose, mid-sweet. Blended taste of ripe fruits, biscuit, and bread. Drying close with distant bitterness. Pretty fair. (Burton Upon Trent, 16.02.2023).

Cask at Beeropolis, Burton on Trent. Pours “bitter brown” with minimal off-white head. Aroma has malts and nuts, plus some traces of traditional hops. Those hops come into their own in the mouth, where the texture is creamy. Flavours of marmalade, grains and pine too plus a hint of fruitiness. Finish is dry and fruity. This is OK, or perhaps even a little better than OK !
