Tap at brewpub. Dark amber colour, medium-sized beige head and lace. Rye and toffee in the nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Piney hops, rye bread and some toffee. Not totally clean.

Tap at taproom. A bit hazy amber colour and small white head. Grainy, worty aroma. Light-bodied. Flavour is harsh, bitter, herbal and grainy. Quite similar to their blonde ale.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 20.05.2019, thanks brunnsbe, 20190602) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, grass and spruce sprouts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spruce sprouts, grass, malts, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had spruce sprouts, malts and bitterness. An interesting spicy brew.

0.33l bottle from S-Market Hyrynsalmi. Very dark brown beer with huge, mid brown beautiful cloudy and stable head 4+. Aroma has tar(terva), smoke, roasted malts. Taste has tar, smoke, licorice, vanilla and some dry woody bitterness at the end. Long dry and bit coffeeish or more like woody aftertaste. Very nice.

0.33l bottle from S-Market Hyrynsalmi. Clear golden beer with medium head. Aroma has malts and some floral notes, even honey. Taste has malts, herbs mainly, hints of floral notes and grass and fruits (bitter and dry ending with hints of grape).

Smell of tar, smoke, peat. Very dark brown colour, very high brown head. Aroma of tar, smoke, roasted malt, salmiakki. Maybe some vanilla in finish. Very bitter. Dry palate. Lively carbon. Very nice and robust.

Mild smell of hops, some sour fruit.Dark copper colour, high beige head. Aroma of spruce, herbs, grass, some citrus. Mildly bitter, would benefit from added bitterness. Half flat carbon. Decent, but not fully convincing.
