Black color with small head. The aroma is mild, a bit dusty, with some dry (ancho) chili. Very smooth mouthfeel; good roasted malt and dark chocolate flavor, light smoke, very light chili spiciness; drier in the final.
Not vibrant, but solid and good.

Black color with very small head. The aroma mixes some roasted malt with light vinous sourness; it reminds me of BFM Alex Le Rouge. Smooth mouthfeel, good mix of dark chocolate and roasted malts, with a mild vinous character, and some Bourbon; correct bitterness.
I’m not sure this is what they intended, but it’s much better balanced and interesting than the unbarrelled version.

Black color with huge brown compact head. Roasted malt aroma, but also something else that could be strange. Smooth mouthfeel, over carbonated; strong flavor of roasted malt, followed by some dark chocolate, light coffee, and liquorice; correct bitterness; the final has some roasted nuts, and it starts being a bit metallic.
Good, but not necessarily impressive.

Cloudy dark amber color with creamy head. Some fruity hop aroma, and vanilla, but not extremely fresh. Soft and round mouthfeel, sweet malt flavor (very good one); good bitterness level with nice subtle hop fruitiness, becoming a bit resiny in the end; also some alcohol warmth is detected in the end.
Fresh would be better; now it borders into an American Strong Ale.

Muddy golden color with compact head. The aroma is moderately fruity, more precisely spicy (yeast), bread. Caramel flavor, dry mouthfeel (very little residual sweetness), some hop fruitiness, strong bitterness.
It’s a good Saison with American hops.

Cloudy amber color with generous head. The aroma is primarly spicy, sign of a strong yeast character, then the hops. Good malt and caramel flavor; the mouthfeel is rather dry, yet quite smooth; strong bitterness, with a very nice orangey character; the yeast spiciness is also evident.
Almost a good hopped Saison. A very good beer, but now S&A should start controlling the fermentation better (cleaner beers, both for the appearance and the the flavor profile).

Bottled@omhper. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, mildly spicy, some wooden and tobaccoish notes. Flavour is cedar, spices, some floral notes along with some wooden notes. Quite nice and refreshing, but a strange take on IPA.
