Draugh at the brewpub. Near black with a beige head of average size. Striking licorice aroma. Medium sweet with lots of aniseed and fennel. Rounded mouthfeel. Some caramel underneath a sea of licorice-like spices. Finishes with growing gingernsaps bitterness. Unusual, but good!

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy roast brown, rich creamy head. Aroma of butter, peat and toffee. Sweet, soft and lightly woody. Medium bodied with some spun sugar and butterscotch, and lots of chocolate. Light flowery bitterness that grows with time.
The brewer is constantly changing the recipe and altering the beer. I also got to try a newer batch, still not fully mature. This batch had a shorter time on oak barrels, clocking in at 5.8%. Being much younger it was more fruity and sparkling, and less malty and woody.
Both of the beers were interesting and tasty, although a bit rustic. A visit to the brewery restaurant is highly recommended!

Draught at Söderbärke Mikroölfestival. Dark amber, no head. Fruity aroma with peaty notes. Medium bodied with dense mouthfeel. Fairly well hopped, but peat tais more obvious and there are light notes of apple. Salty bitter finish.
