Maybe the best Helles I’ve had. Classic. The label says the Helles style “defines drinkability” but really it’s 1840 themselves who define drinkability. (I can flirt.)

And just like that, my new favorite Milwaukee brewery. One of the best US farmhouse beers I’ve had. And I love that they did a Grisette for their 3rd anniversary.

Keg at the brewery. Clear dark brown, large creamy tan head good retention. Aroma of funky cherry, leather, lemon. Taste is oak, cherry, whiskey, wine. Medium bodied, flat, extremely tart. A little rough, but good.
