Very white head, shrinking despite good carbonation from dark golden beer. Slightly perfumey nose, a whiff of rosewater, lemon and pale, dull malts. Straw, wet hay, old tired malts. Grainy character,little restsugars, and a metallic(copper) - hoppy finish, and traces of mint. Rather watery but not thin bodied; reasonably refreshing. Ho-hum lager. Nothing wrong, little to enjoy. Would it beat a dry white Rioja or a Priorato with garlicky Galician sea-fruit? I doubt it.

bottle - Pours pale yellow and a really hard pour yielded a moderately sized head with some lacing. The aroma is mostly corn. Not too many beers list their ingredients when one of those ingredients is "maize", so at least they’re honest about the cheap adjuncts... I guess. The commercial description of a "dry hoppy lager" seems offbase as there is only a very mild hops taste to be had here. It’s mostly just sweet, corny maltiness. the body is kind of thin and and the finish clean. My bottle says that Spain is "one of Europe’s leading beer-brewing countries". That’s also amusing as I’ve yet to hear of a truly good Spanish beer. In Spain the three beers that virtually every bar I visited had on tap were San Miguel’s, Heineken, and Amstell Light. Yes, only one of those is Spanish. There’s a reason for that...

Bottled. Clear amber, brief head. Cardboardy nose. Sweet and fruity with rounded bold mouthfeel. Medium bodied with toffee and lingonberries, but very little hops. Lightly salty finish. A pretty solid macro-beer.

I saw this beer being introduced as a special beer during the Spain episode of “Three Sheets” with Zane Lamply. Then the next day I see this beer and the Damm version too at Total Wine in Clearwater. Cool. Maybe if I drink this I’ll be as cool as Zane (not likely, Zane ROCKS!!). Well, lets see if this beer lives up to the Spanish hype. (and wow, I’ve actually rated it before.
Pours from the 12oz bottle brilliant clear gold with nice slightly frothy quarter inch bright with head. The aroma, hmmm, not too bad. I get some floral and spicy noble hops with a faint light roasted to grainy to almost cereal maltiness. OK, pleasant tasting beer. It is wafer thin and watery but refreshing. I get lively sugar malt sweetness mixed with a nice level of spice hop bitterness and some floral hop notes. It gets faintly acidic into the finish (hardly worth noting) and has sugary malt sweetness ending with a stronger note of floral hops.
12 oz bottle poured a clear bright gold with white head. The aroma is pale grains, a nice fruity note and hints of spice. The aroma gets it off to a good start. The flavor starts off almost neutral with a slight hop spice brought out by the above average carbonation. That taste rolls into a grainy maltiness and unfortunately good old metal shavings. Once the metal flavor finally subsides somewhere during the aftertaste a floral hoppiness is noticeable.

Bottled(330ml). -Pale amber coloured with a small fizzy white head. Malty and sweet caramel aroma with notes of honey. Dry finish with some slight alcohol presence.

A yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma has some weird hop notes, that I can’t describe closer, while the flavor is a mixture of notes of honey and the same weird hop notes. The body is thin.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a pretty, clear amber with a creamy, white head that leaves some laces. Rather neutral aroma with a wee whiff of caramel. Fairly full-bodied dominated by caramel malt but still rather dry and hoppy. Dry finish with some alcohol presence. 250206
