On tap at the brewpub. It's black in the glass, with a small dark beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, burnt notes, some licorice and herbal hints and a touch of alcohol. It's full bodied and lightly warming, gently carbonated and not too sweet. Roasted malts, coffee, some booze, burnt notes and a touch of licorice in the flavor. Good bitterness too. Long finish dominated by roasted malts. Wouldn't mind more coffee in this one, but it's sure decent as it is. 230805

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

On tap at the brewpub. A small, dense beige head forms over an almost clear amber to brown body. The aroma has some caramel and bread maltyness, with a good dash of juniper berries and some black pepper. It's full bodied and lightly warming, with a light astringency and a soft carbonation. Juniper berry dominates the flavor, at least initially, with company of black pepper, caramel and dark bread crust. Long finish. A bit heavy on the juniper berries, else it's sure fine. 230805

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear deep orange golden beet with a dense off-white head leaving curtains. Citrus zest driven aroma with some pale malts. Pine cones and resin, notes of grass. It's dry and bitter on the palate, nicely carbonated, with mostly hoppy flavors. Pale malts in the back. Lasting citrusy and bitter finish. A bit unbalanced on the bitterness, else fine. 230805

On tap at the brewpub. A clear, almost brown beer with a finger thick off-white head. Quite herbal aroma, biscuity and lightly roasted, with some toffee. It's medium bodied, nicely carbonated and quite dry, with a malt driven flavor pushing on the direction of a brown ale. Dry flavor with a light piney touch. Sure not to style, but works well. 230805

On tap at the brewpub. An orange-brown beer with a dense finger thick off-white head. Malt driven aroma, bread and toffee, with some dark dried fruit. Some roasted hints too. It's full bodied and quite dry on the palate, nicely carbonated, with a light bitterness. Roasted malt notes in the flavor, as on the nose toffee and bread dominates. Quite dry and bitter finish. Nice, but as for several of the other beers from Vrå, a bit different. But as long as it works that's just fine. 230805

On tap at the brewpub. A finger thick white head over an unclear yellow-golden body. Lightly perfumed aroma with orange zest, pale malts and herbs. It's dry and medium bodied, nicely carbonated and with a good bitterness. More bitter than normal for the style but it suits this beer very well. Orange zest, generic fruityness, herbal hints and some pale malts in the flavor. Dry, bitter and fruity finish. Unusual for the style, but works well as a thirst quencher. 230805

On tap at the brewpub. Strawberry juice colored beer, still and headless. Delicious but a bit unusual fruity and herbal aroma, lightly perfumed. Guess the sloe berries are responsible for the unusual part of the aroma. It's quite thin on the palate, still and smooth, with a tiny sourness. Generic fruityness, herbs, flowers and some perfume in the flavor. Medium length finish. A rather unusual beer but quite nice anyway. Would prefer a bit more carbonation though. 230805

On tap at the brewpub. It's an almost clear, golden colored beer with a nice finger thick white head. Lacing. The aroma is slightly sourish, in an appropriate way, with pale malts and a generic fruityness. Some peppery and piney hints. It's medium bodied and crisp on the palate, pleasantly carbonated and with a decent bitterness. Pale malts in the back of the flavor, and fruity, piney hops up front. Some grass and pepper hints. Medium length, dry finish. A pleasant pilsner indeed. 230805
