Bottle. A hazy reddish dark golden beer with a small, dense, light beige colored head. The aroma is mostly on the fruity side, with apricot, pine cones and a faintly sourish fruity touch. Pale malts. The flavor too is on the fruity side, with a faint fruity-sour touch. Some malts and grassy, resiny hops giving some bitterness. It’s full-bodied and quite soft on the palate, with a certain warmth. Lasting mostly fruity finish. Not bad this one, but a tad uninteresting. 150228

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 29.11.2016
Aroma has biscuits and some orange marmalade. Flavour has strawberry jam, odd plastic vibes, toffee, orange and biscuits. Finishes with some bretta tones. Quite mild and low on bretta aromas – and the strawberry tones are weird.

Smell of yeast, sour berries. Cloudy red colour, small beige head. Heavy aroma of yeast, also some berries and sugar. Medium sweet, mildly sour. Plentiful carbon. Too yeasty, imbalanced.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 29.11.2016, from Alko, 20150217) The beer poured brownish orange and nearly cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, Belgian style yeast and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, sourness, Belgian style yeast, wort and bitterness. Aftertaste was earthy, sour and bitter. Aroma gave some hope but the harsh and unfinished taste almost totally spoiled everything. Would this turn better when brettanomyces has had more time? I don’t know but I doubt it.

A reddish brown beer with a quite weak and blond head. The aroma has fruits, yeast, earthynessa and some herbs. Overally, slightly musty aroma. Taste has fruits, herbs, dry earthyness, hint of sourness. The freshness is missing. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. No brettanomyces. Weird beer and unfortunately, not very succesfully. Unpure and unbalanced.

Bottle 0.5l at home, Helsinki. BBE 29.11.2016. Colour is murky light brown with small white head. Fruits, citrus, sweetness, Belgian yeast, spices and malts. Strange mixture of different Belgian style beers but I am not a style purist so it doesn’t mind me. Interesting definitely.

Bottled 500ml (Alko)
Dark amber color, steady off-white head. Light bretta in the nose, caramel and grains. Medium-bodied. Sweetish front with white peppery Saison yeast. Some grainy notes. Brett in the flavor is less evident than in the nose. Sweetish Saison, not very interesting in its style (more on Belgish ale side) and not really funky.

(Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki, 13 Nov 2014) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of orange peel, dried apricots and some odd spices hard to pinpoint (apparently rowan-berries). Malty, fruity, spicy taste with orange peel, dried apricots, clove, some strange spices and a fairly sweet finish with moderate bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Weird but quite tasty. It was hard to pinpoint the odd spicy flavour, but apparently it’s rowan-berries. Interesting and quite enjoyable.

Tap at Stones. Murky deep amber-ruby color, good creamy off-white head. Earthy herbal aroma. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Berryish, herbal flavors. Even woody juniper notes. Red tart berries are there. Interesting, almost dry sahti like (American sahti I mean) but one glass is enough.
