Orange-tinted chestnut colour, with thick & creamy, collapsing tan head. Dark, sweet malts, nearly chocolate, but with grassy overtones, leafy. Rather bitterish taste with an unmistakable but discreet sweeter, malt underbuild. Roasted malts, combined with some DE hops gradually fill in, lending it a bitter, sharpish frame. Medium to well-bodied. Slightly burning MF, quite slick. Good Bock, not too sweet, but I might have preferred the balance roasted/hops more tilted towards the latter. Txs, Sebastian.

Bottle (purchased at Landbierdealer, Hof): Amber coloured, small but firm creamy head; sweet (dark-)malty nose, a bit caramelly too...and some hoppy traces; light to medium bodied, moderate sweetish-bitter flavour; finishes as it starts: caramelly and moderate sweetish-malty finish - some light bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad at all - a bit monotonous..........

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear amber with an off-white head leaving a discreet lacework. Soft aroma of caramel. Medium body with a solid, lightly roasted malt base and then a fairly hoppy finish. The smokiness is only a discreet whiff. More like a Landbier really. 251206

Bottle: Golden coloured, smaller fluffy head, slowly collapsing; sweetish-malty nose with a touch of cellulose-thinner (!) and a faint hoppy aroma; sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, sweetish-malty and slightly bitter finish. Quite a sweet Pils, not bad, though.....

(bottle) Slightly hazy orange colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Ashy and slightly sweet citrus and banana aroma with dense clove phenols. Moderately sweet yeasty and wheat-malty taste with light citrus notes, light to medium body, well-carbonated mouthfeel; minimal acidic and slightly bitter, clovy finish. Okay, but not an outstanding Weizen.
