Pretty good for a dunkel. Roast and some caramel. Black pour. A little tang then bitter like eating a whale burger then meeting an American environmentalist girl at the bar in Reykjavik. Tap at micro bar.

Keg at Micro Bar - Reykjavik. Pours pours clear gold with a lasting, creamy white head. Fracker pale malts in the nose, lemon peel and pine needles. Light sweet flavour with some husky bitterness, fired pale grains, lemon rind, minerals, crackers. Light bodied with active carbonation. Dry finish with grassy bitterness, more citrus rind. So so overall.

Keg at Micro Bar - Reykjavik. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a tight, creamy white head. The aroma holds pleasant pithy citrus, orange zest, dry pale malts. Light sweet flavour with dry flinty quality, some citrus rind bitterness, hay, light astringency. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more zesty and rindy citrus character, bitter grass, crispy pale malts. A little too bitter in the aftertaste. So so overall.

Keg at Micro Bar - Reykjavik. Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds lemon and lime, wheat, some citrus zest. Light sweet flavour with sharp acidity, some salty sweat, lemon juice. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Brisk and clean on the finish, with more lemon, quenching acidity, more lemony notes. Solid.

330ml Bottle (2013 vintage) - Murky brown in colour with a small head. Leather, raisins and caramel in the aroma. Fruity and malty taste with raisins, sultanas, toffee and some slightly nutty and vinous notes in the finish. Not as warming as some barley wines and quite easy to drink as a result.

Pours dark brown, decent head. Feels a bit like nitro creamy, has slight sour notes as well as smokiness. Interesting for sure.

A hazed golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with loads of resinous herbaceous floral hops, clover field, light Brett, very nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with interesting Brett, resinous and piney hops, light mineral notes, citrus pulp, very nice and complex. On tap at Pit caribou Montreal.
