Bottle: Pours a clear copper color with a small beige head and light lacing. Aroma is floral and hoppy, hints of malt. Tastes floral too with a large malty presence. Nothing too dramatic here; a floral and earthy feeling pale ale.

The aroma has tons of hops, it reminds me of Surly Darkness. A black, thick beer. Flavor has sweet malt and roasted meat. I really liked this.

RBSG07. From bottle. Pours balck with a chocolate brown head. Aroma is VERY surprisingly hoppy in a orange fruity way with a malt sweetness beneath. Very nice. Flavour is sweet as first but goes very dry in an instant, after the first sip the sweetness starts to stick. Ending very dry malty and strong bitter hops, still slight floral.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking - Santa Fe version. Opaque and pitch black with the tiniest light brown head - a little flat. Very vinous aroma with lots of raisins. Extremely full-bodied, sweetish, roasted malt accents, lots of dried fruit and a vague, ashy edge. Sweet finish without much bitterness. A lovely sipper and a bit underrated IMHO. 160607

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is very sweet malty combined with notes of chocolate and coffee as well as light notes of alcohol and citrus from the hops. The flavor is sweet with very strong notes of coffee and chocolate, as well as medium notes of caramel. It is quite thick in the body.

Bottle. Black beer with reddish tinge and no head. Malty aroma with some roast and coffee and a bit of vanilla. Very rich malt flavor with some roast and alchol presence. There’s also a high hop presence with piney bitterness. Thick bodied. LIngering alcohol and roast. Nothing subtle.
