Kerr’s Farm Brewed Ales is a family-owned brewery founded in 2022 with the aim of fusing traditional beers styles with modern ingredients and rigorous scientific approach.

To develop our recipes, we scour historical records of long-forgotten breweries for inspiration, while looking far and wide for flavourful hops, but closer to home for the high quality barley varieties grown in the British Isles. The end result: uniquely flavoured, beautifully balanced beers that nod to the brews of days long past.

Cask at The Brauhaus. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aromas are earthy, leather and liquorice. Taste adds dark fruit and roast. Fruity, but dry finish.

20/11/2024. Cask at The Dove Street Inn Winter Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours clear red/amber with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, biscuit, caramel, toasted, stewed fruits, heather. Moderate body, soft/low carbonation. Good looks and a decent aroma but tasted a little rough.

Cssk at the White Horse, Lincoln. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are light malty citrus and slight sweet. Light body.

Bottle from Leith Bottle Shop. Hazy golden body with a white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried grass and lemon peel. Flavour of lemon, steel and grapefruit peel with a bitter, slightly astringent finish. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. A decent, heavily hopped pale ale, but I found it to be a bit too sharp.

Bottle thanks to, and shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours light hazed golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light spice, resin, orange. Taste has bread, more spice and some funk. Tangy finish.

75cl bottle thanks to James. Appearance - hazy yellow with a thin snow white head. Nose - meadosweet and light spice. Dank, funk and orange. Taste - creamy orange going into pink grapefruit. Funk and spice. Palate - light bodied with a tangy and persistent finish. Overall -
