Description
When Maximilian of Habsburg arrived in Mexico in 1864 there were no breweries in the country, the local drinks were mainly fermented. Maximilian brought the first breweries to turn beer into the drink of the upper social classes.

At that time, the carts that transported beer were stolen by bandits. To prevent this, Maximiliano appointed the Charros as the PROTECTORS OF THE BEER, since they were the only ones with permission to ride a horse and carry a revolver.

This legend inspired us to protect Mexican beer, its ingredients, processes and to deliver a product of the highest quality.

355ml bottle. Unclear pale golden with a foamy head. Floral hops, grain, lemon, grass. Mild bitterness, grainy sweetness. Light bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, dry grassy floral finish. A very solid beginner craft Pilsner, way better than the ratings below suggest. World Beer Awards 2022 Bronze deserved.

Poured from 355mL bottle from the cold fridge at Chedraui Supermarket in Queretaro. Clear copper brown with small off white head. Mild toasted nuts and caramel malt, simple, a bit muted, but inoffensive. Okay.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine. Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with a small white head and good retention. Decent lacing. Standard pale lager aroma. The flavor is a mix of pale malt and light pilsner malt with a slight sulfur note in the finish. Lightly sweet. A decent basic beer, but more of a pale Euro lager versus a pilsner. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness.

Pour is a cloudy gold with a large white head. Aroma is a decent enough cracker malt. Flavor is again some cracker dry pils malt with grassy ho[ at the end. This is not as bad as the below ratings suggest. This has a lot more body and flavor than a Corona. This Bohemia pilsner.
