On tap at Brewlihan, pours a dark red with a small pink head. Node has dusty peanuts, gentle grapes, and soda-like notes. Flavour is much the same, tasting like a lightly sweetness grape soda with peanuts. Interesting. Not bad but never had a session mead like this.

On tap at Brewlihan, pours a deep dark mahogany, no head. Aroma has jammy tart currants, gentle pithy cherries, and subdued honey nectar. Flavour is rich, with lots of jammy tart currants and berries in general, a touch of red wine grapes, and syrupy notes. Very rich, almost too abrasive, but it works on some level in small quantities.

On tap at Brewlihan, pours a deep dark mahogany, no head. Aroma has rich cherry character and deep honey nectar — lots of depth. Flavour is extremely rich, with deep cherries, almost a banana-like character, and rich honey sweetness. Very sweet, with good integration. Not quite the depth I'd want from such a thing but it's satisfying.

On tap at Brewlihan, pours a clear golden. Aroma has lots of the Blanton's upfront, with banana, peach and a touch of passionfruit, with the honey baked in. Flavour is exceedingly sweet, with big notes of banana, peach, passionfruit, and honey. The bourbon rounds things out a bit but bourbon notes are hard to detect. It's extremely syrupy. Complex and rich yet not as refined -- because it's too syrupy -- as I'd hope.

Bottle pour at Brewlihan, pours a clear golden, no head. Aroma has a nice floral, beeswax character, honey nectar, and a touch of white wine. Flavour is very dry, with lots of dry Chardonnay barrels, alcohol, beeswax, and fermented out honey. Rather boozy but pretty good for a dry mead.
