Test vom 9.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 4,5,6,4,4,4 - 4,45

(swing top bottle, from Saarlander) Cloudy orange colour with a fluffy, slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty aroma, slightly sweet barley-malty and bready with a fruity touch in the background. Light sweet flavour, slim bodied with a smooth carbonation. Yeasty, slightly bready taste with a touch of honey, thin mouthfeel; slim and short, faint bitter finish. Bland.

Bottle with swing-top: Poured a dark black/brown with a light brown semi thick head. Aroma was a sweet caramel or chocolate. Sweet burnt malt flavor with a suttle bitter spice finish.

(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden to light copper colour with a medium-sized foamy white head, diminishing into a small creamy off-white layer. Sweet toast-malty aroma with caramel and honeyish fruity notes and a dense herbal hoppy background. Bittersweet flavour, slim bodied, smooth carbonation. Malty, toasty taste with caramel; slim finish with unpleasant notes of alcohol and metal. Average brew.

Bottled (Tnx DerDoppelbock). Pale, slightly hazy, yellow colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly salty. Flavour is hayish dry with some smooth malts and hops mixed in a smooth finish. Hayishness in aftertaste also.

Bottled (BB 11/2006). Pale, a bit hazy yellow, decent white head. Grassy slightly lemony hoppy aroma. Crisp start, a bit fruity, then grassy and woody dry flavor. Some barnyard notes. Basic kellerbier.

Bottle, best before June 16th, 2006 - Thanks to Sebastian.
Clear, yellow body. Off-white head which is creamy in the beginning and turns into a frothy head rather fast. Due to this frothiness it diminishes fastly. Therefor the nice appearance in the beginning, becomes a little less attractive to the end. Aroma of hops, lemon, orange. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter finish. Very soft mouthfeel. Good drinkable with a little bit complexity.

Test vom 22.5.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,10,9,12,9

Swing-top bottle: Amber coloured, slightly hazy, mid-sized fluffy brownish head, slowly diminishing; faint dark-malty and a bit cardboardy nose, a bit yeasty-fruity too; delicate sweetish (malty) flavour with hidden traces of chocolatey bitterness, soft MF; finish begins sweetish, becomes dryer towards the end with some chocolatey bitterness. Not too bad, but far away from being spicy or hearty.............

Bottle. Rather old hop aroma. Almost clear pale yellow colour. Big, stable, creamy white head. Thin flavour with a little malt and a bit of dust in the aftertaste.
