Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a cup. Black with small brown head. Aroma is rum, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is rum, wood, booze, chocolate, and coconut.

Can, big bold volatile dulling IPA nose. First taste is big blastic battering IPA. Yes, easy drinking? Only if you love IPA because this is one kick ass IPA that treads well into double IPA territory, whew! What else can be said, nasty nellie rototiller hops tearing up my tongue. If you love IPA flip my numbers, this stuff is a must have for an ratebeerian who loves big bitter hops. Give me a cheap pale lager as a chaser - PLEASE! I hate to be the first to rate this because somebody will see my numbers and say it aint shit, but it is; really bitter taste bud crushing IPA!

From a can obtained at the source. Well done label. First thing after the pop is a mild IPA perfume aroma with no BO. Into a goblet this stuff is cloudy tan, very little if any yellow here dudes. Yes, it does have some negative ale tasting attributes, simply because its an ale and not a lager but I find this brew quite acceptable to my lager-loving taste buds. Fairly mellow and it hides the alky well, even considering its only 4 and a half %, heheheh! Actually surprised how murky this stuff is; I don’t care, but its there for all to see. Rather country and civilized at the same time; and hey, you know country is more civilized than city liven, all stacked up on top of each other. Good example of what an ale can really be. Thanks HT! We say grace and we say mam, if you ain’t into that, we don’t give a damn!

Can acquired at source. This pours one big heavy looking viscous IPA looking brew. Big head and a big heavy aroma that matches. Taste is simply terribly on style IPA, and not only that, its over the top in hops galore. Way too many bitter feelings all the way thru this which, BTW, mows over and roto-tills my little baby girl cheap watery pale lager loven taste buds, wew. If you like big beefy bitter volatile IPA, you need to try this, its nasty nellie full of viscous thick flavor. So IPA lovers, ignore my numbers if you like IPA and go out of your way to find this, you will not be disappointed. Thick vicious over the top IPA in yer face and down the gullet, I think I’m gittin a little dizzy here, whew. Set me up and mow me down, I can’t get up again, give me a bud light for a chaser, please. Terribly terribly on nasty nellie style! Speaking of Lock Ness Nellie, this is one big fat monster brew. I hate to be the first to rate this because somebody will see my numbers and say it aint shit, but it is; really bitter taste bud crushing imperial double IPA!

Tap at source. Pale and slightly cloudy. Aroma of mildly dried fresh hay. First taste is very nice-ice cutting co2. Tasty and easily refreshing, I like this. Nice brew, lends itself in an amicable manner to beer with just a hint of bitterness, just enough to let you know its beer. Do I detect just a mild hint of smoke? I must be dreaming, never mind. Yes, this is beer and blonde is what its all about! Good example of a craft brewed blonde beer, just wandering what Mrs. Hightower would think about that, especially if this blonde was a female, heheh.

From a tap on site in a glass and also had a can, both were very very good and I think of myself as an expert in civilized porter. This stuff pours like Guinness, no lie. First taste is bitter chocolate with a tad of strength, but no real hint of the 8% in this one, be careful! Yes, an aroma that is mouth watering roasty porter, anticipating its arrival on the the tongue for each swig. Oh my, so much heavenly porter effects and this truly is a porter. OK, so it borders on baltic porter but its a little more civilized & well behaved, none the less. Satisfying dark beer fun without treading into the impy stout arena. Nice job HT! I’m diggen this!
