330ml bottle [cellared for roughly four years]. Hazy, darkest brown colour with slightly late awakening, small to average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Earthy, vinous, yeasty fruity and dark malty aroma, notes of blue grapes, blackcurrant, bramble, some liquorice, dark chocolate, yeasty spicy whiffs of marmite. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty, yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, vinous fruity notes of blue grapes, bramble, a touch of blackcurrant, some liquorice, dark chocolate, whiffs of marmite. Oily-watery and slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, soft, still efficacious carbonation. Surprisingly light, not overly Bock-ish, nice, harmonious combination of liquorice and fruitiness, well crafted, excellent mouthfeel - good.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, brown colour with ruby shimmer and slightly late awakening, small, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly alcoholic, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of milk chocolate, a touch of red berries, cherry. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty and fruity hoppy, notes of milk chocolate, hints of cherry, red berries, a resinous hoppy touch as well. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, soft carbonation. A bit monotonous, but a Schoko Hase indeed - nice.

Tap at the brewhouse and 330ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, pale and bright golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Grainy, malty aroma, citrusy hoppy overtones, hints of maize, whiffs of yellow curry-like spiciness. Taste is moderately bitter and slightly citrusy hoppy, very clean, grainy, pale malty, hints of maize, lemon, a grassy hoppy touch as well, whiffs of yellow curry again; lingering, citrusy hoppy finish with hints of lemon an da touch of lime. Slightly creamy, watery texture, dry, minimally repellant, metallic palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Highly drinkable, refreshing, very clean and simple, but superbly crafted - makes more out of the style than the potential I estimated to lie therein.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, pale reddish, amber colour with small to average, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Somehow sweet-ish, fruity aroma, hints of cherry (am I primed by the colour?), minimally grainy, malty background, a touch of caramel. Taste is sweet-ish malty, minimally grainy, slightly fruity, minimally diluted hints of cherry and red berries, some caramel; slightly dry, malty finish with a touch of white bread crust. Interesting fruity effect.

Sweet-ish, chocolately as well as slightl yroasty, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, coffee, a spicy touch of liquorice, minimally yeasty fruity overtones with a touch of plum and black cherry. Taste is slightly bitter roasty, minimally metallic, dark malty, sweet-ish caramel malty basic layer, yeasty fruity overtones, initially some coffee and dark chocolate, a touch of liquorice, later more and more fruity notes of black cherry and plum. Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing. Bottle looks very simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, shy hoppy background. Mild spicy hints. Finish well balanced. Okay.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks interesting. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Roasted malty aroma. Starts malty, roasty, a bit earthy, some light alcoholic notes. Finish well balanced, still roasted malty. Not bad.

Bottle from Brausesyndikat. Fresh smooth mild beginning. Fruity with a caramelly back. Intense cellar dusty, fruity with a cellar dusty grainy bitter ending. Nice Kellerbier.

Bottle from Brausesyndikat Bielefeld. Nice chocolate nose with hints of hazelnuts. The beer starts interesting dry with dry hazelnuts and caramel. Very fruity with nice chocolate and nuts. Moderate bitter aftertaste, nice round fruity with lots of dry chocolate nuts on the tongue. Very nice.
