Description
On August 28, 1865 the Ganter brewery was founded by Ludwig Ganter. In 1877 the Ganter brewery bought the "Alte Ölmühle" area far from the city. Between Dreisam and Schwarzwaldstrasse the production facilities and the stately villa were built. A specially constructed deep well provides the basis for excellent beer to this day: pure, crystal clear spring water from the Black Forest. In 2010-2012 the family invests in the most modern technical equipment. With a clear regional awareness and the desire to hand over the brewery to the 5th generation as an independent family business.

Draft at BeerAttraction 2019, Rimini, Italy. Pours full amber, fairly brilliant and crisp, with moderate cream-coloured foam, fine. Aroma is generic malty. Body is pretty dense, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium-strong sweet at first, with a little bitterness too, later. Finish is regular.

Bügel-Fläschle (Dank am See!): Pale golden, a bit unclear, medium-sized and stable white head, mild sweetish bitter nose of dusty grains with traces of cooked vegetables and glue; mild bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied; short bitter-tart and glue finish. Not totally convincing...

Fläschle (Dank am See!): Hazy, deep amber coloured, firm and stable medium-sized off-white head, moderate sweet-sourish aroma of dark malt and wheat, some yeast and chofolate chips underneath; light to moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, covering a delicate bitterness; relatively light bodied, but quite soft; returning chocolatey traces in the shorter sourish-sweetish finish. Not unpleasant...

Schnapp-Fläschla (Dank am See!): Clear, ruby-amber coloured, small, but stable off-white creamy head, mild to moderate sweet-bitter nose of toasted/roasted malt with delicate traces of soy-sauce; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied; slightly lingering toasty finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Nothing wrong with it...

Schnapp-Fläschla (Dank am See!): Golden, clear, medium-sized and slowly collapsing loose white head, sweetish grainy-fruity nose with a mild herbal hoppiness; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied; shorter mild bitter-sweetish finish. Nothing wrong with this, just a bit boring...

Schnapp-Fläschle (Dank am See!): Pale golden, hazy, smaller persistent white head, mild to moderate grassy-bitter nose with a cellary-grainy background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied; slightly lingering dryish grassy-bitter and grainy finish. Could be better balanced...

Bottle. Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma is grains, noble hops, mostly pale malts. Body is light and thin and only bitterness, low sweetness and carbonation, but at least dry. Not much to find.

Pours a bright light gold with a super tight white head, persistent with micro bubbles. Scents of hops and malt distinctly pilsner aromas. Taste is classic pils with a hoppy foundation and a crisp finish.
