330ml bottle [Thanx to bartlebier, who’s neither "phlegmatic" nor "Flegel", but knows to appreciate a "gepflegtes" beer]. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally malt spicy, grassy hoppy aroma, a touch of hay and dry, woody, yellow apple. Taste is minmally strawy, grainy, a touch of protein, subtle pale malty sweetness. As the ambiguity of "gepflegt" leaves the field open for a wider range of interpretations, maybe the proper understanding here is in the sense of maintained custom instead of cultivation and care. Not bad, though.

330ml bottle [Courtesy of no. 1 Schmieheim proliferator bartlebier, thanx!]. Slightly cloudy amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally sweet-ish, grainy protein aroma, a spicy touch of hay. Taste slightly sweet caramel malty, buttery, hints of protein, a touch of hay, nuts, somehow disguised peach; slightly oily, sticky palate. Quite discrete Zwickel.

Thanks to kevnic2008 for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild-malty, modest spicy, some roasty notes. Finish a bit metallically, but still okay. Average!

Milder, leicht hefiger Antrunk mit hintergründiger Säuerlichkeit. Mild bleibend, wenig bananig, fruchtig. Süffig, wenig aromatisch, die Hefigkeit wird dunkel. Ok. 11/9/10/9/7/10
