This beer pours a flat black color with a medium dark tan head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, maple, coffee and bourbon. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, sweet maple, roast coffee and chocolate malt. The finish is boozy with a maple and malt aftertaste. Good beer overall.
