A very nice clean and strong porter. Not overly so, quite drinkable. All around nice, Old Bar Kiev

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Stas. Hazy amber. Lots of spices, herbs, sweet malt, caramel, yeast, medium-bodied. Not my thing.

Hazy pale yellow, small head. Smells like Isabella grape juice. The taste has some grape juice and lots of young home made white wine. As a (not that successful) experiment - passable.

On tap at Craft vs Pub, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out light coffee, with a dirty earthiness to it. Flavour is along the same lines, with dirty earthy coffee grounds. Not much depth to this. It's okay.

On tap at Old Bar, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out earthy espresso upfront, with a nice roast to it. Flavour is a bit burnt, with earthy notes, coffee and phenols. Served way too warm - the burnt rubber notes really shine. Yuck.

Bottle. Dark brown. Aroma: roasted malt and coffee, chocolate, bread, nuts and a little floral hops. Taste: coffee, burnt and roasted malt, velvety, not bad.
