Bottle: Deep golden coloured, loose off-white head, that slowly collapses; moderate sweet pale-malty nose, some bisquits in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with some hoppy influences. O.K., but a bit one-dimensional........

(screw cap bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a beautiful foamy white head. Sweet, biscuity malty and honey-fruity aroma with shy herbal spice. Moderately sweet flavour with a light but balancing bitterness, medium to full bodied with a medium carbonation. Biscuit-like malty taste with a tinge of honey and shy herbal accents; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter finish with the emphasis on the (cara-)malt, balanced out by a tinge of herbal hops. Not a complex but a likeable Bock (14.07.08).

500ml bottle at Reading BF 08. Gold, with lasting off white head. Restrained aroma, bit of yeast and grain. It’s a decent landbier in that it doesn’t do a lot, but what it does do, it does well. Some malt depth in mouth, some hop on end. Not exciting, but nothing horrible either.

500ml bottle at Reading BF 08. Orangey brown colour. For an 8.5% beer, not bad and quite drinkable. Bit too obviously sugary, but nice stewed malt flavours nonetheless.
