On tap at the Bocktown. A slightly darker beer but still yellow. Smell is hoppy perfume. Look is nice and clear, no haze what so ever. First taste is hoppy mild IPA, yes, borders on IPA. Decent amount of co2 makes it palatable. IPA thing is overwhelming, must be an ipa. Long bitter lingering finish. Not sure how this could be an APA.

OK, so balderdash, I am the 4th ratebeerian to rate this, its an honor because this is the best beer on tap I had at bocktown monacac tonight. Nice head. A darker beer inthe glass. Has a friendly roasty aroma, very mouth watering. Taste is fairly mild and mildly roasty, just like a nice dunkel should be. Yes a darker beer with a tad of hay in there. fairly mild and enjoyable fer sure. Creamy attitude, quite easy to get along with. Background flavor make me think about the the smell of old horse or cow manure while hangen out onthe farm. Overall best experience at bocktown monaca tonight. should try this stuff and you should try out bocktown monaca.

This beer keeps getting better. Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dryish, roasty and a bit woody with a coffee note. The flavor was dryish, a bit toasty and woody with moderate coffee and vanilla presence. Medium length toasty malt and coffee finish. Medium body. Solid.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a golden amber color with a large foamy white head that left great lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish with vague fruity hops. The flavor was bitter, tart and tangy with mild notes of lemon and pine. Long bitter and tart pine and citrus finish. Medium body. Not hoppy enough for an IPA which is typical for this brewer.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a hazy orange-copper color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet pumpkin with mild notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. The flavor is somewhat bitter and tangy with malty toasted caramel, pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon and a bready undertone. Medium length tangy pumpkin and nutmeg finish. Medium body. The pumpkin pie spices are held in check well by the tangy caramel and bread and keep this one from being one dimensional. A really nice version compared to the overly spiced ones that are flooding the market.

Best beer of four at the bocktown monaca. Barely any smell at all, just clean beer. A little darker than a pale lager. Not much co2 in this brew. Taste is not hoppy, odd slaggy backbone. No real bitterness, at first at least. Does have a few manners. Bitterness tries to build but never quite gets there. Yes, best of the others tonight.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a medium amber color with a small soapy white head that faded quickly. The aroma was dryish with a strong floral hop presence. The flavor was very dry with a strong floral and herbal hops with just a hint of malt underneath. Long dry, bitter and floral finish. Light to medium body. Very aggressive for a session beer but so one dimensional that finishing a pint could get a bit difficult.

Not really english style, unless you age it and then I think it has potential, on tap at the bocktown monaca. Looks like pale lager. Just a little hazy. Sweet cotton candy attractive aroma makes me want to gulp this stuff. Very thin creamy head. No co2. Heavy uncivilized alky background on the buds. Needs gentle aging. Burns going down. Strong beer fer sure. Whisky laced thing needs refining. Not a fan of this unaged style. Ignore my numbers if you like rude BW.
