On tap at the Bocktown, nice place. Slightly darker than a pale ale. Has a mild perfume hop aroma. A little hoppy on the first taste but considering it’s name, not as rudely hoppy as I would expect, you know, highland park and such. Good hop value without much bitter bite, I like that. Never over the top, well behaved and civilized, unlike many APA these days, which by the way should be in the IPA classification. Rather enjoyable, probably one of the better APA I’ve tasted. Some of you hop fanatics may think this stuff is underhopped but I think its just the right amount to let the real positive beer attributes shine through. Would be a nice regular beer if the price is right.
