Tap at the brewpub. Clear light yellow greenish with lasting bright white head. Fresh apple, green apple, light mineral, kiwi fruit, soft white grapes, a hint of leaves and citrus. Light sweet, under medium sour. Under medium bodied.

Nitro at the brewpub. Clear dark reddish brown with creamy beige nitro head. Chocolate, light earthy, soft red fruits, light roast, soft sweet grains and light doughy. Medium sweet and under medium bitter, light tart. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Quite OK.

Pint shared from tap at Irish pub in Dunedin. Clear darker golden with off white head. Light lime, lemon, soft grapes, soft dry malts, watery, light mineral, dry old bread, a bit of golden kiwi fruit. Under medium sweet and bitter. Almost medium bodied. Pretty decent.

Pint from tap at Irish bar in Dunedin. Almost black with beige head. Light chocolate, roast, soft blackberries, light creamy oats, a touch of vanilla and cake batter. Medium sweet and almost medium bitter. Medium bodied with light creamy but also watery feel. Not bad.

On nitro tap at Eureka. Pours dark with a thick foamy head. Coffee, liquorice, blackcurrant, grape, musty oak. Flavour starts well, with the sweet tart fruit coming through over the earthy porter. The finish is a little imbalanced as the porter dies off and you’re left with a sickly fruity taste. Lovely and smooth on nitro. Really not bad, just needs a slightly fuller porter underneath the barrel stuff.

33 cl bottle. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Liqourice and roasted malty. Mild tarish. Mild sweet and roasted dark malty. Chocolate and light liqourice. Tarish roasted finish.

Bottled. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of hops and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Bought in a New World in Christchurch.
