Can picked up from Beer Republic, Breda, Netherlands as part of a 2 pack (East and West Coast IPA's) drinking this sat outside at home Attenkirchen Thursday 9th April 2020, weather is glorious, however we are now into day 22 of CORVID-19 enforced lockdown, listening to Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (EP) - The French Press. This is far better than the East Coast IPA, a bold bitterness, it's dry, furry, citrus, some orange, malty, pleasant, much better than the other one.

Pours hazy gold/orange colour with a white head. A little watery, okay it's got a noticeable hoppiness but juicy, mmhh not that much, lots of citrus/tropical touches, mmhh. not really. In summary could do better.

Had as part of a Blender pack along with Blood Orange Kveik IPA. Hazy translucent straw yellow light peach pour with little to no white head. Aroma is sharp tart mango, bracing. Taste is pleasantly bitter and tart with good tropical juiciness. Nice but couldn’t really have too much on its own.

Got in a unique double “Blender” package. Two small cans stacked on top of each other and strapped together. The idea is to mix them each after trying separately. Transparent light copper orange pour with dissipating puffy white head. Aroma is blood orange with straw and grassy hops. A bit yeasty. Nice. Taste is citrus bitterness - straightforward but good citrus IPA, blood orange there.

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. The malt base is light but also slightly sweeter than most Brut IPAs I can recall. A modest fluffy creamy sweetness comes in. A reasonably good take on the bitterish grapey citric vibe that seems to define this style. Touches of pine and hop spice. Closes out with a piney citrus and a very light champagne vibe. A grower this one, at first I thought it might be a little sweet but ultimately it comes together well.

An unclear red beer with a pink head. The aroma has notes of forrest berries, brett, and lemons. The flavor is sour with notes of forrest berries, brett, lemons, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

Tall can from Henry’s in Queenstown. Very nice but not quite what I expected. Aroma is hard to say from the can - grapefruit juicy with peach and lemon. Taste is fruit salad-y, with citrus, peach, and melon all there. More juicy than I expected for a brut IPA. Palate is fizzy and bubbly, but finish not really that dry. Sort of missing that part for the brut, but really tasty nonetheless. Would definitely get again.

440ml can. Minimally cloudy, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, sulphureous, off-white head. Piney, citrusy and slightly tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, caramel malty background, notes of grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, some mango, a touch of guava, minimally chalky overtones. Taste is initially crisp, bitter hoppy, slightly citrusy, hints of grapefruit and lemon, from the second third on quite mineral and chalky, slightly leafy with a touch of lime, but largely flavourless. Watery texture, very dry palate. Bummer!

440ml can. Minimally milky, amber colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Resinous and piney, hoppy aroma, caramel malty background, notes of pine, spruce, coniferes in general, a touch of peanut, citrusy hoppy overtones with hints of mandarine and orange. Taste is moderately bitter, piney and resinous hoppy, minimally citrusy, slightly sweet, caramel malty basis, notes of pine, spruce, some lemon, a touch of orange zest and mandarine, lingering bitter hoppy finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Very clean, compact, homogeneous. Good.
