Jelmer Pultrum (JP) has been brewing as a hobby since 2014 and since 2017 he was co-owner, brewer and designer of brewery Diggelfjoer. After many years of fun, he started an adventure for himself at the beginning of 2023.

Bottle from Beerdome. Malt and dried fruit aroma with caramel, raisins, spicy notes, some alcohol, figs, sugar. Medium sweet with a light to mild bitterness. Medium body, light sticky and sugary.

Bottle from Beerdome. Fruity and softly hopped with malt, orange, grain, soft spicy yeast. Light to mild bittersweet flavour. Medium body. Not bad.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is spicy yeast with pale malt, bit fruity with orange peel, grainy rye. Moderate to medium sweet, mild bitter. Medium body, bit creamy, nice. Well-rounded Tripel, smooth, fine brew.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Bitter orange peel with yeast, pale malt, and fruity citrussy notes. Long bitter finish with a mild sweetness, medium body. I don't really mind the bitterness, but this could be a bit more smooth/balanced.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Strong woody aroma with vanilla, candied fruits, notes of bourbon, spicy yeast, malt, sugary orange. Medium sweet flavour with a light bitterness and a little alcohol in the finish. Very nice, vanilla and other barrel notes dominate.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Like the bourbon BA pretty heavy on the wood with vanilla, rum, sugary fruits, orange, malt, spicy yeast. Medium sweet with a light bitterness, hint of alcohol. Medium body. Fine balance between Tripel and rum barrel, lots of oaky notes.

From bottle at Bierfestival Wolvega. Woody with lots of coffee, whiskey, espresso, roasted malt, dark chocolate. Body could be fuller, moderate bittersweet. Lots of wood in the finish. Nice.

Fles 33cl thuis. Belgisch gist, steenfruit, abrikoos, rogge, wat kruidig, redelijk koolzuur, redelijk zoet, bittertonen, orange peel, haver, volle moutige smaak. (18-8-2023).
