Description
Woody and Kellee Briggs first crossed paths while serving in Ramadi, Iraq. Kellee is a West Point graduate who served as an Engineer, while Woody graduated from Ohio State University and served in Field Artillery. They are the proud parents of two boys, Cooper and Griffin. With a combined 26 years of dedication to the military, including stints in the Army and Colorado State Patrol, their unwavering camaraderie and mutual dreams would ultimately shape their future.

In 2018, after years of envisioning a new mission together, the Briggs decided it was time to make their dream of starting a brewery a reality. Their search culminated in the discovery of an existing brewery for sale in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs that would become Brass Brewing Company.

Today, Brass Brewing is more than just a brewery; it’s a testament to the Briggs’ commitment to the community and veterans. The brewery employs 7-10 part-time staff (many of which are military spouses), including a full-time Master Brewer who shares their military background. Giving back is also at the core of their business ethos. A portion of the brewery’s profits are dedicated to supporting veterans through organizations like the Mount Carmel Veterans Service Center. In gratitude for the service of military personnel, teachers, and first responders, Brass Brewing offers a 10% discount on all pints. They’ve also given a nod to their military and law enforcement roots by naming many of their brews after terms commonly used in those fields, such as “Blue Falcon” and “Sick Call Ranger.”

At Brass Brewing Co., the love of country and beer is celebrated in every pint, with a mission to give back as the heart and soul of our brewery.
