Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice grass and tropical fruit note with a touch of onion and straw underlying. Flavor is similar with a combination of tropical fruit, onion and grass supported by straw notes.

(On tap @ Witchstock, again @ Birreria Volo, Toronto, Oct 1/18) Pours rather hazed bright pinkish-red with a fading pale pink head. Notes of juicy raspberry slightly dominating over fresh strawberry but both come through, sweet and lightly to moderately tart with a citrusy acidity, subtle ice cream/yoghurt feel, long berry-filled finish. Medium-full bodied and softly carbonated. A great lactose berry Berliner, not quite reaching the highs of B1 Angry Chair Strawberry Cream but those are big fruity boots to fill...

(Tap) cloudy, bright reddish colour with a small pinkish head; aroma of strawberry; sour flavour with a long, medium sour finish; very nice, works both as a sour and as a fruit beer - which does not happen often

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/20/2018. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/green/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Touch of lingering harsh resin/rind astringency through the glass, but not overwhelming. Lightly increasing warmth of 8% after the finish. Overall this is an amazing NE DIPA! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, despite the lingering bitter/harsh/drying finish. Great soft feel otherwise. Great galaxy profile as expected. Extremely juicy and lightly dank/earthy hops; great bready malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Would have been even more impressive without the lingering harshness.

Pours very hazy golden orange/amber color with small fairly dense white head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit, guava, pineapple, fruit skin, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, grass, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of fruity/acidic yeast, tropical fruits, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit, guava, pineapple, fruit skin, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, grass, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, tropical fruits, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly crisp, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited gose! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, tropical fruits, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish; not overly lactic or salty. Huge tropical fruit presence and balanced Lacto complexity, with a solid pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
