Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy dark golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, light rubber and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter. The rubber really detracted from an otherwise good beer. 250616

33cl bottle (9.5 ABV) from a trade with MisoW, many thanks! Pours very dark brown colour with a huge good lasting brownish head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, dark malt, vanilla. Taste of dark mild roasted malt, sweet chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, nice!

Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle from 100 piv, Bratislava. Hazy yellow colored with a small head. Fine biscuit and grain malt, floral and citrus hop aroma. Favor was only bitter, but it didn’t seem so much to ogivlado and me as to Marko. Some herbal dry hops, ginger maybe, too with strong malty base which also turned out quite sweet in the finish. Some vague spices. Touch of alcohol, but not much - another Lanius that seemed far, far weaker than claimed ABV. But okay otherwise, just that.

Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle from 100 piv, Bratislava. It poured a hazy yellow body with big head. Weaker aroma of coriander with very light salt over light grainy malt. Flavor was lightly sweet, honey, grainy and lactic with light salty component. Coriander was felt, too. Longer, salty and a bit lemony finish. Decent, a light, rounded beer with bold saltiness. Quite different from original Leipzig Gose I’ve tried, though, which was predominately sour, while this was not at all.

Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle from 100 piv, Bratislava. It poured a hazy dark brown body with a small head. Fine hop aroma, herbal and citrus, with roasted malt backgoround. Now when I read the description it should have shown more of it here. Flavor lightly bitter only, dry lemon peel. Roasted malt gave coffee, cocoa and some dark fruits. Thin to medium body. Finish was long, bitter of course, dry herbal with coffee still notable. If this was really that high in ABV, excellent, however, we three were skeptical. Okay, very pleasant, but misses the body, could be better.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden colour with a medium to large sized white head. Smells sweetish, malty, hops, slightly grassy, nice. A hoppy pilsener ot something. Tastes hops, grassy, slightly floral, slightly soapy. Thin to medium body, too heavy on the carbo.

Jan. ’16. A 0.25 l bottle from 100 piv, Bratislava. It poured light hazy brown body with a tiny head. Lightly sweet, medicinal, woody, rubber and harsh caramel aroma. Flavor was sweet and quite alcoholic, too. Hay, grain, caramel, some honey... A bit messed up all in all. Medium to full body with oily palate and long, sweet and alcoholic finish. I wouldn’t guess it’s close to 17% though. Not bad, but, as stated, messed up without its dominant direction.
