Sample poured into a wine glass @ Von Jakob. Pours a clear sparkling pink with no head. Aroma of cotton candy and concord grape. Taste is heavy sweet. Concord grape and honey. Light bodied with a sticky texture. No carbonation and a long sweet finish. Overall, not bad. Way too sweet for my taste though.

16oz draft from Von Jakob. Pours a clear amber with about a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel malt and some light pine hops. Taste was not so good. Light bitter. Taste of burnt pine resin and chemicals. Not good. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long chemical finish. Overall, not good. I would not drink this beer again.

750ml bottle from Pick’s poured into a snifter. Pours a light maroon with zero head. Strong aroma of blackberry with a slight scent of honey. Taste is heavily sweet. Not much blackberry taste. Pretty much tastes like sugar water. Medium bodied with a slick and oily texture. Zero carbonation and a long sweet finish. Overall, not my favorite. My girlfriend picked this one out because she likes sweet stuff. Drinkable but I prefer something a little more tart.

4oz draft from a flight. Pours a light red golden color. Small bit of head. Aroma of wheat and sweet candied fruit. Lightly sweet and lightly bitter taste. There is a taste of something I can’t place. Not exactly fermented fruit but fermented something. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a long sweet finish. Overall, it’s not bad. Not exactly my type of beer. Way too sweet for my palate but something enjoyable for fans of Belgium beers.

4oz draft from a flight. Pours a light red/brown color with lively carbonation and a little bit of head. Aroma of slightly sweet malt and wheat. Taste is light-medium sweet and a very light bitterness. Kinda reminds me of amaretto. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Overall, it’s very good. Something I would buy again.

4oz draft from a flight. Light brown in color with a small bit of head. Very pleasant looking. Slightly sweet malty aroma. Light bitter and light sweet taste. Kinda toasty. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, it’s very good. Probably my second favorite. This is a beer to get a growler of and split with a friend.

4oz draft from a flight. Pours a clear pale yellow. Slight wheat aroma. Light bitter and light sweet taste. Taste of wheat and clove. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation and an abrupt finish. Overall, not bad for a hefe but a little bit too bitter. Would drink again if it was offered but would not seek out at a retail store.
